Kayak excursions - Elba Island

Season 2023

Our sailing and Kayak package is designated for sports and sea lovers. Departure is from Portoferraio towards Capraia, sailing through the Cetacean Sanctuary. A few hours later, time for our first excursion by kayak, ride that in the following days will take us also to Cala Rossa (red cove), Capraia’s characteristic southern end. You’ll get to paddle in the crystalline waters of the Finocchiarola Islands natural reserve as well as be surrounded by the scents and colours of the Agriate Desert’s mediterranean scrub. ROUTE

Both boarding and disembarking at Portoferraio, Elba Island
Saturday:

Boarding around 5pm, cabin allocation and arrangement of our pantry, dinner on board, overnight stay.
Sunday:

Morning departure towards Capraia sailing right through the Cetacean Sanctuary. After a journey of about 4 hours, arrival on the island for a first exploration either by kayak or alternatively with a short hike followed by a visit to the local village.
Monday:

Kayak excursion to Cala Rossa, Capraia’s characteristic red cove located on the southern end. In the early afternoon all onboard towards Corsica, with arrival in Macinaggio after about 3 hours of navigation.
Tuesday:

Kayak excursion just opposite the island of Giraglia, paddling from Macinaggio to Barcaggio in the crystalline waters of the natural reserve of the Finocchiarola Islands. Leaving in the afternoon in the direction of Saint Florent where we will get to in just under 4 hours of sailing.
Wednesday:

Departure from Saint Florent by kayak, paddling along small coves, surrounded by the scents and colours of the Agriate Desert’s mediterranean scrub, as to reach Loto beach first then Saleccia, perhaps the most famous beach in all of Corsica due to the turquoise colour of its water and its long and pretty solitary sandy shore. Return to Saint Florent either by boat or kayak.
Thursday:

Early morning departure sailing all the way to Centuri, visit to its small fishing port, then we’ll make our way back to Barcaggio by kayak.
Friday:

Departure from Barcaggio, about 6 hours of navigation to reach Elba’s Capo Sant’Andrea for one last kayak excursion. Return to the harbour of Portoferraio while sailing at sunset.
Saturday:

Disembarkation by 9am
